My initial preparations and training are long a way from the Atlantic, on a farm in Hereford, training on a rowing machine, if I’m lucky I get a sunny day and do it outside, but an English Winter-Spring means doing it from a cow shed! Rowing across this ocean is not just a dream anymore; it’s a tangible goal, a challenge waiting to be conquered. Before I can embark on this epic journey, there are preparations to be made – meticulous planning, rigorous training, and careful consideration of every detail.

The first step is assembling the team. I surround myself with individuals who share my passion for adventure and my unwavering determination. Together, we form a tight-knit crew, each member bringing unique skills and strengths to the table.

Next comes the logistical groundwork. We pore over charts and maps, plotting the course with precision. We study weather patterns and ocean currents, seeking to understand the unpredictable nature of the sea. Safety is paramount, so we spare no expense in outfitting our vessel with state-of-the-art equipment and emergency supplies.

Training increasingly becomes the focal point of my daily life, spending countless hours on the machine, honing my rowing technique and building endurance. The rhythm of the oars becomes second nature, each stroke propelling me closer to our goal. In the gym, I push my body to the limit, knowing that physical fitness will be the greatest asset on the open ocean.

With the departure date a long way off yet, tI already feel a sense of excitement tinged with nervous energy, a mixture of apprehension and exhilaration. But amidst the flurry of these initial preparations, there’s also a profound sense of purpose – a deep-seated conviction that I am embarking on an adventure that will push me to my limits and forever change me in ways we can’t yet imagine…

Sharing my blogs and challenge would be a massive help :)
