Cow Shed Diary

Rainy days, rowing vibes: Crushing it in my cow shed gym
When the rain hits Herefordshire and turns everything a cool shade of Instagram grey, you won’t find me hitting pause on my training. Nope, I take the party Annasley training in the cow shedto my cow shed turned ultimate DIY gym, where my rowing machine and I get to know each other on a whole new level.

My life’s been a wild ride from pro cycling, with a side of seasonal gigs in the French Alps and white water thrills in California, to deckhand shenanigans in the yachting world. Now, as I prep for the solo row of a lifetime across the Atlantic, every rainy day is a chance to prove that nothing, not even British weather, can dampen my spirits.

A cow shed, you ask?
It’s quirky, it’s cozy, and it’s mine. Every pull on that rowing machine is me rowing across waves bigger than my dreams, in a shed where cows used to chill. It’s about getting creative, making do, and pushing forward, no matter what.

Lesson in every stroke
Here in my rainy refuge, it’s not just about getting fit; it’s about building that unshakeable core of resilience. Every stroke is a step closer to facing the Atlantic’s mighty waves, with the beat of the rain on the shed roof reminding me that I’ve got this.

Keeping it real and resilient Annasley training in the cow shed
This journey’s about embracing the mess, loving the process, and showing up, even when the weather’s got other plans. The cow shed gym sessions are a perfect mix of fun and fierce, proving that adventure isn’t just out there on the ocean; it’s right here, in the heart of the storm, with every row.

So, as I gear up for the #OceanSurvivoarChallenge2025, it’s not just about the distance; it’s about the story, the vibe, and the resilience we build along the way. Let’s make every rainy day count, turning setbacks into comebacks, one row at a time. Let’s get it!

Sharing my blogs and challenge would be a massive help :)
